Midax, Inc. has developed a reputation as a strong, reliable systems integrator for the regional operator, small chain, and independent retailer in the grocery and convenience store industries.
We focus on a suite of products specifically tailored to these market segments, allowing our clients the same functionality as much larger chains. Midax provides the tools that give our customers the same advantages as their larger competitors. Our customers are able to leverage technology to improve efficiencies and reduce costs.
There are huge similarities between grocery and C-Store industries. Grocery has higher volume and a higher level of complexity but at their core they both need to manage the acquisition and sale of product. Midax provides a suite of applications that supports a comprehensive business solution from payment processing to loyalty to back office. Midax has seen a huge growth in gas discounting; Midax’s position of straddling both industry sectors has left us in a perfect position to serve both.
Unusual for this industry, 80% of the Midax team is analyst/programmers. The rest are pretty much all dedicated to support.
We install and maintain all our systems ourselves remotely and have developed a reputation in the industry for being quick to respond and to fix. We do not believe in carrying dumb, dumber and dumbest layers of support levels, or in isolating programmers from customers. Our programs have to operate in the real world, so that is where our programmers need to be.
All the code is written in house. Aside from the operating system, the database and the programming toolset, we rely on no interim third party products because we wish to maintain full control over the entire application and thus be able to change and fix anything. Our software will feel like it was written just for you, the reason for that is simple, it was.
All communications software is written in C. Front end applications are written in a mixture of .net and Delphi. All database maintenance routines have been automated, so none of our customers need a DBA.
Our client applications are Windows based with easy wizard setup in most cases. All our applications use a comprehensive full library of established reports or tailored report writers with drill down capabilities.
We have embedded early warning systems into our programs that contact us real time, so more often that not, we know of a potential problem before you do. The speed and quality of our response to problems is second to none, 24 hours a day 52 weeks a year.
