Database Analysis

Midax’s Loyalty Rewards Engine feeds this module, which in turn stores every line item transaction in a relational database. The Midax Loyalty Data Warehouse application is structured thus:

We store every single line item transaction in its original form, so that you can always go back to the core data and analyze to whatever level you wish. As that can create a database of immense proportions, we automatically generate summary fields for all key data, so that all common reporting and enquiry facilities access a smaller database and reads rather than performs multiple sorts and calculations. In this way, you can have both high performance and high level of detail, without having to compromise.

The product structure in the Midax Loyalty Data Warehouse is the same as we use to support all applications that use product: DSD. Hosting, CAO etc. Thus you have at your disposal in this module all of the product classifications, without having to maintain them separately.

In addition, Midax provides an additional layer so that you can identify behavior groups and arbitrary product groups. So you can identify dog owners or young families or wine buyers, whatever, based on their shopping baskets or position customers into given deciles etc. and flag those customers accordingly. Having flagged them, you can use those flags for further analysis (e.g. Coke buyers, who never buy Pepsi, have a young family and a cat) and subsequently use those flags to create rewards in the Midax Rewards Engine that are targeted to individual customers, based on their buying patterns.

Midax also provides user-definable demographics screens, so you can manually maintain customer data, notes or create clubs.

In addition to the canned reports you would expect to see in any sophisticated data warehouse application, Midax Loyalty Data Warehouse includes report management tools to facilitate automatic generation of given reports in a given format with customized variables and to transmit those to the users in the format they prefer, as an email a .html, .txt, .xls, .rtf, .doc file etc., or as a paper report printed out on a given network printer.

These facilities enable you to personalize your monitoring and reporting systems; to use the data selection routines to manipulate data in other applications; for mailings and for a online website applications, for example, or to expand you usage of this potentially huge database in data mining applications.

In this way, we can have one powerful product, which can be configured to support your chain’s individual needs of identifying why your customers keep coming to your stores and how you can enhance their shopping experience with you, to the betterment of your bottom line.
