Pump Control
For the independent gas retailer, convenience store operator, or supermarket chain, the Midax Pump Control Module has multiple functions, which we integrate in whole or in part throughout all Midax interfaces to the pump.
Midax Pump Control is an application that can control all activities of the pump, so that a convenience store could use this application in conjunction with any point of sales system, either stand-beside or integrated (please contact your Midax representative for a current list of the POS types that Midax supports).
It can reside between an existing Ruby POS and the pump to provide an extra dimension of functionality to Wayne and Gilbarco pumps that the Ruby cannot support for example:
- Linking the convenience store to a grocery store to retrieve gas discounts
- Providing PumpStart facilities, i.e. allowing pay inside privileges to those customers you know.
- Accepting in house or third party gift cards at the pump
In this context, Midax takes control from or allows control to pass to the Ruby dynamically and transparently for the customer, the pump and the Ruby. Midax also audit trails all events, so you have full oversight.
The Midax Pump Control Module can also operate unattended sites and operate attended sites in unattended mode.
Midax Pump Control can operate in branded or unbranded sites.
Midax Pump Control Module also controls price signage, with business logic to match electronic signing to pump displayed prices always in the customer favor.
Midax Pump Control Module can be integrated into a car wash using Ryko protocol to sell car washes at the pump.
The Midax Pump Control Module also captures data from the Veeder Root to push into the Midax Data Warehouse for reporting, where it is consolidated with the POS sales data, product movement data into and out of the store, time and attendance data and so on to provide one common source of reporting and control for the chain.
In Loyalty, Midax Pump Control Module is the application that controls the pump, prompts for the loyalty card or receipt number, retrieves the discount from the Midax Loyalty database, drops the price at the pump and then resets the price at the pump to the list price.
Midax Pump Control Module is also part of the Midax Switch application, so all processes that it supports are automatically part of the pump function under Midax, subject only to the hardware configuration of the pump.
Can you combine some or all of the above to create new business rules? Why, yes! Use a pre-paid gas card or gift card at the pump and get a $1 off a car wash. And so on.
